skin flap over incision

Hi all

After 3 c-section i just got use to the flap over my scar. Now 6 days post op TAH dr took out staples one side still weeping and she shoved a guaze pad under the flap let it down and said see ya in a couple weeks, does any one else have this issue. I can't see it well but my dear sweet love cleans it 2 times a day...I am so lucky.....

I've got the same issue... 2 c-sections, the last with twins... I had to dress mine after the last c also. The "apron" traps moisture and the incision doesn't dry out evenly. You can buy no-stick 4x4 gauze pads at most pharmacies... just keep it dry. After the shower, blow dry your incision and try not to wear tight undies or pants... go cammando as much as possible and try to let it get air. I know it s^&%s, but this works. I'm doing it too.

Just know that you're not alone!!!

My doctor cut my "baby flap" off during my surgery. He said it aids with healing, and I wasn't charged for a tummy tuck!

I also had 2 sections, and now a TAH. The key to the incision healing fast is to keep it dry! You can use the gauze or even just a clean washcloth tucked in there.
