6 weeks post-op, just started spotting...

I was 6 wks post op on 2-17 and since then have had intercourse 2 x . Both times I have had a little pinkish bleeding noticed immediately after but it doesn't last. After reading these posts, now I'm concerned about it. Is any bleeding normal even if its just a little ? What is granulation and what does the silver nitrate treatment involve ? Do you think I should let my Dr. know ?
P.s. the intercourse itself was fine......not quite back to normal because we're both a little scared but everything works including the O for both so I'm sure we'll do fine once we know I'm completely healed.

Hi Nibs12,

Have you had your follow up with your Dr. yet? I would definitely tell him about the spotting. Granulation is extra tissue that is growing/forming in the vagina. If you have that, then your doctor will have to remove the extra tissue. The spotting will not stop until that is removed. I'm not totally sure what the silver nitrate is, but I can tell you that it only entailed my Dr. putting the medicine on a large swab and rubbing it on the unhealed area. Nothing to it.

Keep us posted!
