does any one use a heating pad?

Hi Peggy,

I would warm a rice bag and use it. It was wonderful, very soothing.

heating pad

Oh man- that has been a blessing! I don't know what I would have done w/o the heating pad. I can't take the pain meds well so it has been a wonderful relief. I wish I would have known sooner! You ladies are wonderful in sharing your experiences. I have learned so much.

Yes, I used heat and ice.

I would use a hot water bottle when I ached, and lunch box sized ice blocks when my incision burned. Both helped a lot. I was able to relax and use less medication.

Best wishes for the best recovery to all my "sisters."

S!

does any one use a heating pad?

I had my DH bring my heating pad to the hospital. I didn't think to ask my doctor about it, but he came in and saw it and said if it helped it was fine. I still use it.

I still use mine on my lower back. I wouldn't make it through the day without it. All of the sitting and trying to use every other muscle but the stomach muscles is hard.

Hi Peggy, I am one week post-op and I cannot imagine life without the heating pad--it's a lifesaver for lower back and belly.
