same time...same place..normal or just my luck!?

My surgery was at the Beginning of Dec. Recovered well except for the pains now and then that seem to make me feel as if someone kicked me in between the legs...but that is when I seem to really overdue it. Anyway, the problem is I have been waking up every night at about the same time 3:30 a.m. with that weird feeling...sometimes I sweat a little other times it is as if something is under my skin and kind of invades my body...Hot flashes I assume...I am wondering if it is normal to always get them at the same time. I don't ever get it anywhere else except when I am sleeping. I am not a happy camper when I don't get my sleep and I can't go back to bed after this reaccuring event. Then I get to face pre teens all day at school!
Oh...help me and tell me this will go away soon! I am on HRT - premarin .425 I really don't want to go up because I am not even sure that will take care of it. Is there something I can use in addition to my hormones?
Thanks....I finally have adults to talk to that will listen!

Hot flashes--Oh yeah!

It sounds just like hot flashes, but the good news is it could be a lot worse. Night sweats involve waking up with your hair pasted to the back of your neck and your nightgown damp. Soy is a pretty good help with this. Try buying calcium tablets with soy, 25 mg. of soy in them. This helps me. I wake up at about 4 AM. There are other foods good for this, blueberries, I think.

What time of day do you take your Premarin? I read somewhere that if taken at night, the initial rush of hormones can cause sleeping disorders. Just a thought.

Also, the feeling of things under your skin......it could be hot flashes, but I've had that feeling of bugs crawling under my skin and kind of an electric buzzing feeling under two circumstances: a severe prescription drug reaction and the after effects of general anesthesia. In both cases, the feeling persisted for weeks.

Again, which leads me to wonder what time of day you're taking the Premarin. Are you taking any other medications close to bedtime that could be triggering these symptoms and giving you an early wake-up call?

Thanks for the reply....I take my premarin in the morning. Wellbruitrin at night. I am going to try the soy.
I just hope and pray that it doesn't get any worse...do you know if increasing hormones would be any different? That is my Drs. first suggestion. I just feel so icky and the headaches are starting back. I dread for the night to come sometimes. Know I have to get that under control becasue then the real problem of insominia sets in and the more I worry the worse it gets.
