home sweet home

Hi everyone
had surgery the 16th, got home the the 19th. My story will be over at the hystersisters tells their story, I just wanted the ladies in waiting to know that before you go in, your imagination will scare you. I worried about every little thing. I was suppose to have a TVH , keeping ovaries. well, NOT!! Dr said she tried to do it that way for an hour, but would not let go. So, I had a TAH, and all is gone !!
I hurt, but that is it. Castle keeps you in drugs, and nice plp there. The worse for me, was the ride home.. hate Michigan roads.
My advice ladies, is calm down, (right), and when you can, hit that morphine pump, enjoy the cathther, and snooze. Next day, get up, and move, move ,move.. The more you walk, the better you get. Just short walks. and drink water. before you know it, you will be home. I had a laugh or two, and an IV problem, but no biggy. .... will be thinking of you all. If you have any questions, . I will answer any questions. The other princess` helped me, now I can help you.

Welcome Home!

Hi Nanagoat,
Your name caught my eye... I am Nancy.. and as a child my darling baby brother not!! called me nannygoat. I retaliated by calling him Mikie the monkey.. any way... Thanks for the memory stir. And WELCOME HOME! So glad things went well for you. I am waiting for my TAH/BSO and could easily work myself into a state. Have to remember to breath. Hope your recovery continues smoothly.
Best Wishes,

Thanks Nana, I have a week to go and although I am usually a very calm person, I am begining to worry a little bit. I know I will be ok and I am doing the right thing, it just the idea of being cut open and losing a part of my body, even if it is causiing be a lot of trouble. I think my subconscious is just rebeling, running around in circles, screaming oh no!!! I will be busy this next week tying up lose ends at work and getting my recovery room ready, etc. so wont have much time to dwel on it, but thanks so much for the pep talk! It helps tremendously to hear from someone who has made it to the "other side" . Gald all is well and I wish you a speedy recover and return to a normal life!!
