7 days postop EXCRUCIATING PAIN

I cannot believe the pain in my rectum.
THe TVH went well
The A&P repairs, however, have left me dizzy and nauseous with excruciating pain.
I have hemorroids the size of tomorrow. My DH has named each of them Hemor and Roid.
Aside from feeling like death from behind, everything else is coming along. I am having difficulty peeing because I cannot relax when I try to sit from the behind pain.
Anyone out there experience the same>
I could really use some re-assurance

Thank you
Barbi

7 days postop EXCRUCIATING PAIN

YUP........ I had the same problem. I would turn and twist when trying to go to the bathroom because I couldnt get in the right spot to go. But the good news is that give it time and it will come around. I'm 13 days post op right now and I finally can sit down on the toliet and go without wiggling all around trying to find my "spot". But I do still use the stool softners without them I don't know what I would do.
My doctor told me he packed my bowel during surgery so I'm sure that is part of the discomfort that I felt during those early bowel movements. I mean it was so sore to go that I would almost cry from the pain.
Hang in there better days are coming. I didnt think so but everyday now I feel a little better.
Hugs to you

Dear Barbi,

I'm sorry you are hurting so badly. Have you checked with your dr about this pain and what are you taking for pain? You should be able to get more relief than this from your medication is what I'm thinking. If you haven't, please call the dr and tell what is going on just to be sure there isn't something they could do.
I hope you feel better soon.

's, Rita
