Sunday I had a very painful BM. By Tuesday I finally decided to go to the dr as I "looked" and saw this horrible grape looking lump on my butt...right by the exit.
So, yesterday I went to the dr he said it was a thrombotic hemorroid. WHAT??? I never had something like that in my life.
Well, needless to say he immediately sent me to a surgeons office to have it removed.
I have to tell you...it was AWFUL
Now...the clincher is I was so excited to no longer have ANY bleeding and I have to take my unused pads and have them ON MY BUTT
It just doesn't seem right

HI there!

Three years ago I had several of them on the inside of my anus (TMI , sorry) and one on the outside. I had surgery for them. The first BM felt like I was pooping out razor blades. I cried in the bathroom for an hour.

I bled for days. Sometimes if I push too hard I bleed. I still have a small "tag" on the outside but it's small and only aesthetically annoying.

Now, I don't have nasty looking stuff hanging out of my but. I had so many hemmoroids that I couldn't even get poop out anymore. I'm much happier now that the surgery is done.

Good Luck!!!

It was only one and on the outside. But I 'gotta tell ya. That needle going in my butt to numb me made me feel like I was going through the ceiling.
I guess he had to slice it open and pull the blood clot out.
After all I have been through with the TAH I have to say this pain was FAR WORSE for the procedure.

I have had thrombotic hemorroid before & dr told me to sit in warm water & that my body would eventually absorb blood from it & it did. Now having going thru SAH & many bouts with constipation my hemorrohoids are acting up AGAIN. Have been to dr & got meds & they are better, but still having some constipation problems & then when I go I burn for hours later, worse than pain from surgery

I'm sorry you are going through this, but I'm happy you posted and shared.
Yesterday, I went to the bathroom, and strained (only slightly). I cleaned myself off, only to discover bright red blood. I looked in the commode, and it was everywhere.
I have been on Miralax for 2 months to help with my IBS. Now I am worried that I might have a hemmoroid that will not heal.
Is there any other symptoms? I have noticed after a BM, my back hurts something terrible, like it is sore. And of course, the usual, tenderness when I sit down.
I go to the Dr Friday, I am going to mention this, but I'm just wondering if I'm blowing it out of proportion, and it's just a small one that doesn't need meidcal attention.

Thanks for any information you can help me with.

I had hemmroids several years ago and had them "froze", which worked until my daughter came along. After her birth, they came back really bad, they were infected and thrombosed. I ended up having a hemroidectomy when she was a month old. Very painful!

Something that might help you. After surgery they made me take (and told me to continue at home) caster oil at night, said it would make going much easier (very true). It's gross, but really worth it!

Another thing I found out the hard way. Spicy foods and raw wounds, don't go well together! After one experience with that, I went back to the caster oil it kind of coats everything.

Also, my surgeon told me that you can usually get internal hemmroids to go away with OTC treatment, it's the external ones that are more difficult to get rid of. I've had both and the internal can cause alot of bleeding, but I was able to get rid of those on my own.
