HELP! I don't know what to do

Hang in there girl friend. I found I had to break down and cry too before anyone would see me when I first found out I had a rectocele. I was hysterical. I'm splinting everyday now. It's really a pain in the butt, but believe it or not I'm getting used to the gross task. I'm opting for surgery. In the meantime, I just make sure I keep my fiber intake really high and drink lots of water. Peggy has helped me a lot. The nurses can be real "B" sometimes. But they have to take a lot of crap from some of the cocky doctors and they end of taking it out on us. I know that's no excuse. My sister-in-law is a surgical nurse and she will also tell me "Hey that's no excuse Lonny, nurses should do their job and treat patients with respect". She is a fabulous nurse, my sister-in-law. Anyway, everyone's human. But don't let those nasty crabby nurses push your around. You are paying them not vise versa. You are the reason they have a job!!! If you weren't sick they would be unemployed Sometimes they forget that one.

Let's us know how your appointment goes.

HELP! I don't know what to do

THANK YOU so much everyone! I'm so glad I'm not alone and that you all understand!!!
I was just telling my mom how wonderful this website is and she is glad that I have found people who truly know what Im going thru!!
My Mom is taking me to the dr today, I'm glad she's going with me she and I are so close, she's like my best friend.
Again thank you all and when I get back from my appt I'll let you all know what they say.
I've thought about canceling b/c I don't want to be humiliated but you all are right - I don't need to eorry about the nurse, the dr is who matters. I'm not going to cancel, I couldn't handle having to sit on my right hip all weekend long, this hurts so bad.
I could never express how grateful I am to this wonderful group of sisters!

HELP! I don't know what to do

My appt went better than I thought it would. I dont have the rectocele (sp?) and I'm really glad. The dr said that all of the pressure and pain Im feeling down there is from the endo. He thinks I've got endo around my rectum and possibly on my blatter.
I told him about the appt with the chronic pelvic pain dr and he thinks that's a good idea. He wants to see me once a week until the appt. I'm on provera (progestrin) 3x a day, it's supposed to supress the growth of the endo. I'm hurting like crazy still, but hopefully the provera will slow the endo down and the pain may ease up. I'm just trying to be possitive, it does me or my family no good to be negative. I'm going to try to start doing yoga again (hopefully I'll be able to) I think that may help me with relaxation and maybe help w/ the pain?.
Thank you guys for caring, I'll keep you all posted.

HELP! I don't know what to do

Hi Casi
I am glad your appt went well. It sounds like you have a caring dr. which makes a huge difference! Mine is really great too.
I guess it is a good thing you don't have a rectocele, but I hate to say it, but I think it is easier treated than endo. I am sorry you have to deal with all of that pain and pressure. It does sound like your dr. is going to do his best to help you with the pain and everything.
Keep us updated on how you are doing. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am dealing with some abdominal pain and don't think it is directly related to my surgery.I've had this pain every since my tah in May. I continue to take the 200mg colace and benefiber each day, but I am now having a hard time having a bm just like before. I know I can't strain, so I endure the pain the best I can. I had to use M.O.M. and a glycerin suppository last night to give me some relief. I may end up going to a specialist before long if this doesn't clear up.

Take care and I hope all goes well for you.

HELP! I don't know what to do

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble, I read your other 2 posts. I don't know anything about biofeedback or tvt. And I don't want to sound dumb, but what is it?
It sounds like your abdominal pain may be caused by adhesions, buut that's just my opinion. All of my pain is on my left also and it started out as a dull ache. Before my TAH/BSO I had a lot of trouble with my left ovary, they removed it during my 3rd lap prior to the TAH. It was completely covered in cysts, endo and adhesions and the left tube was blocked. But, now my pain is on that side and it feels like it did when I had an ovary there, so I can kind of relate to that pain you're having. I would express all of these concerns to your doctor though.

Thank you for replying to my posts, email me anytime!
I hope you start feeling better SOON!
Please know that I am praying for you.
