chronic pain

Hi Marian
Sorry to hear you are in so much pain I can sympathise with you. I am due my surgery on 4th april but have chronic pelvic pain tried lots of different meds.
Gyn gave me nothing only PONSTON! but my gp is great.
He has me on a pain med called Neurontin which is for nerve pain because he thinks my endo has spread to the nerves .
I dont know if you have this in the US it could have a differnet name.
It helps a little , takes the edge off it.
Best of luck with your appointment and take no prisoners! tell it like it is.

LOts of love Dee

((Dierdra)))
Yes we have neurontin here, but my pain is not nerve pain...I have used it before for nerve pain and it works good. Good luck on your surgery date

Thanks for thinking of me i am so glad I can eat now...LOL...I miss my food I wish I could sleep for 8 hours as deep as I have been sleeping since Friday....ahhh that would feel so good...LOL....but even getting these 3-4 hours of hard sleep has made me feel mentally so much better!
"as you always say...keep us posted"......I do say that a lot don't I?....
I will definately keep you posted. Still haven't heard back from the doc's office about that yet. I guess I will call them in the morning again and see what gives. I am trying to not keep my hopes up too high that I will be fixed really good---mentally I feel better about going and I won't have any problem to continue to find relief if this doesn't work out. Well we are gettting ready to eat early cause I have to take the kids to school skate night---yipee, can you tell that I am excited?...LOL sitting there for 2 hours listening to all those preteen girls giggling and being loud..LOL

Marian -
I must say - you just seem "better" - if one can tell such things by the way one types! I hope you are feeling some relief! I hope the sleep is helping!

Take care!

I am getting nervous and just need to vent

Thanks Courtney,

I do feel better in a few ways. I feel mentally better that there might be hope for me yet...I feel better because I am sleeping harder even though it is not long enough....I also feel better physically because of the increased breakthrough meds. I feel better that my appetite is back. My pubic bone is still giving me a fit since the exam friday. Last night, I was sitting in the recliner (big shock) waiting to get really sleepy before trying to get in the bed and then a sharp stabbing pain in my pubic bone...UGH...hurt like heck, but passes. I dozed off sitting straight up in the chair without my feet reclined and woke uparound 2am and crawled in the bed and slept til DH woke me up at 7am. I had no pain in my hips whatsoever....so I do believe that the hip pain goes hand in hand with the pelvic floor muscles and pubic bone inflammation. DH said he didnt' sleep much after I came to bed...probably because he is used to having it to himself for almost a year. So we decided for me to try it again this weekend when he can sleep in and adjust things without him having to work the next morning. When he woke me up, I c ouldn't believe it didn't hurt! Right now I am just afraid to get in the bed without being so tired I can see straight---I don't want to lay there waiting to go to sleep cause I am afraid that will only induce the pain due to stress, etc.
Again, thanks courtney for everything!

I'm so happy to hear that you are sleeping and eating! That must be a huge improvement over how you were living before! You're energy level must be improving dramatically! I can only imagine what your kids are thinking! Have fun snuggling with your hubby this weekend!

Take care! I'm really really happy for you!

I am getting nervous and just need to vent

My energy level is not increasing because the increase in the pain meds has me pretty doped up right now. But everyone is happy that I am eating again. Thanks again for your encouraging words courtney.
