LAVH - Six weeks out and still a dull ache

I am six weeks out today from a LAVH. I thought I'd be healed almost totally by this point, however, I still have a dull ache in the pelvic region and I really aggravated it today when I strained big time to have a bowel movement. I have been back to work for two weeks and have resumed most of my normal activities (minus sex and power walking) but this threw me for a loop. Any similar experiences? I'm supposed to see the doc tomorow for a post-op, however, we are snowed in and I will need to cancel as his office is 85 miles away. Thanks for all your help!

LAVH - Six weeks out and still a dull ache

I'm six-weeks post-op Wednesday, and believe me when I say that I feel your pain! I've felt crampy the past couple of days, and I'm still having the bloody discharge (I think the stitches are still coming out). If I'm on my feet too long, I start feeling really "heavy" in the pelvic area, like everything in my abdomen is getting ready to just come falling out of my vagina (graphic, and I apologize), and around my belly button and mid-ways of my abdomen is burning like crazy.

The nurse practioner took a look at me last week because I was concerned that I was still bleeding, and she said that I'm healing "okay" but that I'm not as far along in healing as she would have expected. Maybe you're not as healed as you had hoped, especially if you strained today. I just really believe it takes a long time for all the little pains to go away. Hope you're okay and that you can make it in to your doctor's office soon, just for peace of mind if nothing else.
