What did YOUR Doc say at your 2 week appointmen?!

Betty,

I don't go to the dr. for a checkup until 6 weeks, but I had to reply to your post as I was dying for a cheeseburger at the 1 week mark. I sent my DH to the store and asked him to pick up ground beef. He came back home and I made a cheeseburger. Couldn't stand long so I brought a chair over to the stove. It was delicious!

Glad to hear that you are doing well. Just don't overdo. I am at 4 weeks and feeling really good, too. Just a twinge now and then.

Have a great week!

Vicki

What did YOUR Doc say at your 2 week appointmen?!

Hello sisters!

I had my 2-week appt today.

My doctor removed the steri-strips (staples had been removed at a 1-week appt).

I can take a shower while facing the water now, instead of having my back to it.

I was "okay-ed" to drive as of yesterday, and it is wearing me out. Being a passenger was easy. Driving is a little more work.

No baths yet. He said this is because of the possibility of injury or of falling while getting in and out of the tub. Too bad because I am a Bath Girl, and baths help my daily migraines.

I had some girlfriends come over last week to vacuum and do other housework, and they are coming again this week.

Feeling great, but tire easily.

My food cravings are beef(what's up with that?) and salt.

Hugs!

My cravings are for real food, like you... DH is on his way to the store right now to get rolls for the hamburgers. One thing I did notice is the lack of a craving for chocolate.. I got 3 boxes of chocolate while I was in the castle, and I have no desire to eat any of it. What's up with that.

What did YOUR Doc say at your 2 week appointmen?!

My two week check up was awful! My incision had healed fine, but the internal exam - I started to black out. the Doc sent me home for 2 more weeks and reluctantly let me work half time - mistake on my part. I was given instructions like ShellyS. I am still so pooped out that it is unbelievable some days and I am 9 weeks out now.

I had such cravings, and it was Christmas time! I indulged away and still lost weight - after all, some organs were gone, I must have been lighter. Thing my Doc told me that I already knew. . . . increase water!

Congrats on your healing and getting the go ahead to drive! That is exciting - great to get our of the house eh?

What did YOUR Doc say at your 2 week appointmen?!

Hi Betty,

I didn't have a 2 week apt, but I did have a 6 day check up yesterday.(TVH).

I was SO bored and restless that when my best friend was 3 minutes late I just left on my own! MY DH was flored and called my DR. When I got there the front desk girl yelled at me but my DR just laughed and said I walked fine so there was no problem with driving!

DR said I couldn't lift anthing over five pounds or do a lot of stairs, no baths or sex until 4 week check up. I left there so hyped up that I went shopping (clothes, nothing heavy ) DH met me at the car when I came home, I won't mention what he had to say, hehehehe. It felt so wonderful to get out and GO. I now have some swelling but that's it and the motrin helped.

I always crave chocolate, but latley it's been pasta! Go figure....

Best wishes to all!

Hi Betty!

I'm only one week post-op today and get my staples removed tomorrow, but I can feel your joy! Congratulations sister!
