I went to colon Dr. today.

Hi lady's,
Update on me today. I went to the colon Dr. and found out I have an anal fissure-tear- and will be using an diltiazem cream for it. He said he not a bladder specialist but agree's with gyn that it has fallen again. He also said the nasty word adhesiens-sp?- and wants to see what the urologist say's on the 23rd before deciding if I have another entrocele to. At least he's honest and doesn't want to put me through the ringer untill that visit. He thinks my bladder is putting presure on my colon and that could be alot of my problem. Thanks for all your support!

Diltiazem cream for an anal fissure? I talke Diltiazem and it's a heart/blood pressure drug! It's in tablet form. I didn't know it could be used like you said. That is very interesting. I'll have to google that one.

I was told it promotes blood flood and therefore healing, go figue. The stuff had to be made for me and cost a fortune! I'll let you know how it works. I also did a search on msn and found it is used for tears and so is nitro, weird I tell you!

Hi Kim

It sounds like your doctors know what they are doing. It is good they are checking out everything, before coming up with a plan. I hope all of your repairs last forever this time.
It does sound realistic that your fallen bladder could be causing problems lying on your colon.
I have a large bladder. It held 800 whatever those are. It hurt me terribly when the urologist asst. filled it. It made my whole lower abdoman hurt!!It almost makes me wonder if my bladder could be doing the same thing, as I do have a small cystocele. My gyn believes I have adhesions inside my abdoman too. I've had ongoing bowel problems, even since my repairs.

I wish you luck. Let us know how the appt. goes.

Peggy,

800----meaning 800cc of liquid they filled it with or 800ml since 1cc=1ml
One way to think of how much that really is----it is almost half of a 2L of soda----it is a lot! No wonder it hurt.

Hi Marian

It held alot. She used a large amount of that bottle. The lady who was putting the saline or water in it was surprised my bladder held so much.I kept telling her it was hurting me, but didn't feel the urge to urinate, so she kept going.
Even when I haven't drank much I feel that dripping sensation inside and sometimes a weird feeling on top when I bend or walk much, etc.I guess if I filled it, then bent it would be like Niagara Falls.

It seems like I learn something new about myself at every appt. I go to.

(((Kim))) Sounds like you have a great doctor

My DS and nephew would have anal fissures when they were little and I remember just how much discomfort this would cause. Both of them were prescribed glycerine suppositories, as they would end up with extreme constipation because they would try and avoid the pain of having BM's Of course, the more they had to strain, the worse the fissures

I do hope that this treatment results in relief for you. Sending tons of s your way.
