Tummy advice please?

I am post castle 2 weeks now, and the swelling as not gone down at all in my tummy! I may have made a mistake, while I was following all the rules, except one, I thought that the one rule was only for vaginal hyst. I have been sitting up for much of every day. Working jigsaw puzzles, playing games on the computer, even reading sitting up.

Have I made a big mistake?

Thanks for your replies in advance.

Tummy advice please?

Hi Kay. It may be that the elasticity in your tummy area is different than other women, which is only normal. I'm only 10 days post op and as soon as I had my staples removed on Thursday, the swelly belly greatly decreased. I still have a little swelling, but not anywhere near the way it was before the staple removal. It may also depend on how much scar tissue you have in your abdominal cavity, which can also contribute to the belly. Keep your chin up, babe - it has only been 2 weeks and your body is still adjusting and healing. Good luck and BIG s to you!

Tummy advice please?

I'm 15 weeks post surgery and still have bouts of swelly belly. It was the most obvious between 4-8 weeks when I started to be a little more physically active. I still get it if I lean forward while sitting up (like one does at their desk and computer). You might want to pay attention to how you are sitting and make sure you are not putting any pressure on your tummy. If I remember to lean back in my chair, it really helps.
