off to another surgery I go

Well I've been scheduled for a lap on 3/15. I'm so glad I didn't have to wait long, I am ready now, I'm miserable. This has gone from a nagging ache towards the end of the day. To being a constant intense sharp localized stabbing.

I had my hyst (tvh) 7/03, then had an LSO 2/04- my left ovary was wrapped up in adhesions. Well now I am having constant pain on the left side again in the same spot. I had a CT done and the only thing it said was that I have a left ovary but it is small, which makes us think maybe it is a remnant, or maybe it is something else.

Guess we'll find out soon! Instead of being worried, I am anxious to get to it, with the hopes that this will resolve the pains.

Girls wish me luck!!

Heather

Well I'm finally back. They found more endo on both sides and adhesions. It will be a week tomorrow and I still feel horrible, I have the dizzies and that makes me nauseous. Plus no bm for 7 days now, I am extremely uncomfortable and nauseous from that. I have been doing my fiber like normal and taking softeners also but nothing is happening. I think I am going to have to go for something stronger and see if I can get anything to happen. I can finally breath, I was short of breath for the first 5 days, that was miserable. And I am still running at low grade temp 99.1 to 100, they say this is ok, but for this long? I have never had it last past the first few days.

Heather,
For BM, try mixing a little yougurt with 2 tablespoons of olive oil several times through the day.
Good Luck!!

Still nauseous & low fever 8 days post-op

my lap was last tuesday the 15th. I thought I was nauseous from being constipated but I'm not constipated anymore. After fiber stool softeners and finally a laxative, I am empty. But now the pain is still there, I am still nauseous, I can hardly eat anything and I have run a low fever 99 to 100 since surgery. They said that as long as it is below 100.5 it is ok, but I really don't think it should last this long.

Anyone have any ideas? I am miserable, and my dr is on vacation this week so I don't go in until next week.

Heather,

I am sorry to hear that getting clean didn't make you feel better. Since it didn't, I strongly suggest that you call the doc's office anyway. They have to have someone that is on call for this doc while he is on vacation.
Let them know that you are still nauseated, still running low grade fever and still having significant pain and you are not getting any better. You should definately feel better a week after a lap. I am not saying you should feel great, but you should feel better than the day after surgery.
Go ahead and give them a call and let us know what they say.
