Home from the castle!

Hi Ladies!

Surgery went well (TAH/BSO). My sinus infection cleared up enough to not have to re-schedule a second time! I did decide to go ahead and have both ovaries removed. My Dr. was planning on removing the left one anyways, so I figured I would get it all over with. My biggest complaint right now is the itching (all over)! I figured my skin would itch from the morphine at the hospital...but still 4 days later? Have any of you experienced this? Another bit of good news for me is that my Dr. will work with the local compounding pharmacy (when I am up for it) to get bio-identical hormones!! In the meantime, I am taking 1 mg tablet of estradiol. I am really excited about this! Hope you are all doing well!

Home from the castle!

Welcome home Jewel

I hope you are resting and taking care of yourself. That is great that the dr is going to work with you on with the bio-identical hrt.

I itched after surgery and benadryl worked wonders for me. You might still have some of those meds in your system.

I had shoulder surgery recently and the pain meds made me itch and I was told by dr to take the benadryl. It worked like a charm.

Wishing you a smooth recovery.
