Update on side pain

I would like to update my information since the last time I posted.
I have been for an ultrasound, hidascan, uper GI with small stomach following, and then yesterday, a colonoscopy.
All reported normal which I am truly thankful for. I was diagnosed with IBS for the dull aching pain in the right upper quandrant below the ribs which originally was thought to be gall
bladder. I have been prescribed Levsin.
The problem I have now, is when it is time for a bm, I can barely make it to the bathroom and sometimes don't. Would ibs cause the rectum to be weakened? The nurse told me that could be a factor, and we will know if the medication helps it or not before
referral to another specialist.
Has anyone else had this problem? This has been a problem ever since my hyster in 06/02. so when taking the laxative prior to the colon, it was quite an adventure. thanks

Update on side pain

I'm not sure the rectum is weakened, rather that the spasms are so strong that nothing would be able to hold back what is trying to come out. The official term is rectal incontinence. You may be able to have Physical Therapy for rectal incontinence if needed.

I hope you feel better soon. Keep us posted!!!
