Bleeding Four YEARS Post-Op

Girls, here I am, in trouble again... brief history:

TAH and BSO on 3/21/01. Horizontal incision was "botched" according to another surgeon - it has never closed properly and the center still leaks "ooze" occasionally (gross), it flops over onto the abdomen below it, and it gets red and ticked off very often. I have been told the incision needs to be revised but I am a very high surgical risk so haven't done anything yet. However, that isn't today's problem.

This is extremely personal - I can't believe I'm even posting this - but i KNOW you ladies wlll have helpful answers! The problem is that after very brief regular sex, I started bleeding (period volume). I have never had ANY bleeding since my hysterectomy until this happened. It was also very painful at the time. Kinda felt like I was being ripped.

SO... now what? Do I need to see a doc for this? Does anybody have any idea what caused it? (other than the obvious) Has anyone had this before?

If somebody has answers or suggestions I would very much appreciate them - I'm kinda freaked at the moment. Hugs to all, -me

Sheila,
You should definetly call your DR today before the holiday weekend. I haven't experienced bleeding but it sounds like something that needs to be checked into. (((HUGS))) Let us know what you find out out.

Sheila,

I agree with ((michelle))...you definately need to call the doc and get in to see him before this weekend. Bleeding this far out post op is not really supposed to happen...it is better to be safe and find out it is nothing, than to be sorry and it turns out to be a problem. Besides, if you start feeling worse later, your only choice is the ER and we all hate the ER..LOL
Please have your GYN check you out.
I am sorry to hear about your incision problems. That has got to be awful to go through all this time.
I will be sending hugs and prayers your way. Please let us know what the doc says.

((((Sheila)))) I'm so sorry you're dealing with this I agree with the others that this is not part of normal healing from a hyst. It's one of those times when a call to your doctor is in order.

I hope that, by now, you've seen your gyn or GP and that you're feeling better. I know that I would do just about anything to avoid a trip to the ER, so I understand how you feel.

Sending tons of s your way. Please, do keep us posted.
