Feeling alittle low today.......

Hello all;

I have been feeling alittle low lately. I'm having more abdominal pains and very bad lower back pains over the past week.
It seems like any kind of exceration makes my back feel like it is in severe muscle spasms.
I'm more tired that I was with the first round of Chemo I took, and they are having a more diffucult time finding veins for this Chemo.
I took Chemo # 4 today and I still don't know how many more I will have to take. They are supposed to do a CA-125 next week when I get to see the Doc again. I just have this sinking feeling that this kind of Chemo is not working for me.

Hugs to Sugar

Sugar, a couple things to remember. You may very well have something else going on that is not cancer. We get all the same things everyone else gets and the same things we got pre-cancer--the back and abdominal pains definitely are to disduss with your doctor, but do not definitely mean cancer. Chemo side effects can accumulate--thus you would be more tired as yu have more chemo. Always be sure to mention your concerns and fears to your doctor--they are a very important part of your cancer treatment.

Hi Sugar4
After my 4th dose of chemo I had bad stomach pains and bad pains in the thighs and hips. Maybe its something similar. It took me a lot longer to get over #4 than any of the others and the symptoms didn't start for nearly a week after the chemo.
Hopefully you'll be feeling a bit better soon.

Feeling alittle low today.......

Hi Sugar4,

Yesterday was my 3rd chemo treatment. My onc. told me that week 3 is usually the breaker week when side effects really show.

The weird part is I usually have a really sick day the day before I
have my chemo. (I only have a low dose once a week.)

My drs. and nurses are very good about insisting that even if I think I should call then by all means call. Let's face as they say
there are now stupid questions.

Please know too that no two people are the same and they do not react the same. If I had listened to everyone telling me that
I was a slow healer or I was doing too much or expecting too much too soon, I would never have called my gyn. to tell him I thought something was wrong ten weeks after my hyst. and was
cleared back to my everyday life. Little did we know that the tumor was growing as we spoke. In other words listen to yourself and if you have to give the medical people a pain so be it.

Sorry I went on so long, but I sometimes I can be long winded.

Hope all turns out well and your recovery is closer than you ever
dreamed.

Happy days!

Hi Sugar,

Wow, chemo #4!! Hang in there you probably just have a few more to go. Unfortunately I have been told that the chemo is cummulative so as the time goes on you may feel yuckier than from the beginning.

Feel better.

Sugar
Some cycles of chemo are tougher than others.
I hope your CA125 drops and those nasty cancer cells are gone forever.
Hang in there.
