I Still Can't Stand To Pee !

Hi...I'm 5 weeks post TAH/BSO and still dread having to go the bathroom ! Am I the only one feeling like this? I had lots of work done in there, including bladder and ureter repair, but thought by now it would feel a lot better. Just knowing I have to go freaks me out and of course the more I put if off the more it hurts! Just feels like everything in there is still so sore and not quite right.

I don't have any infections....just seems that it would be more normal by now ??

I Still Can't Stand To Pee !

Hi pharmtech.

If there is no infection, maybe you should ask your Dr if pyridium would be ok to take. At least it would help with the pain.

Best wishes, and speedy recovery!

I Still Can't Stand To Pee !

Sorry if my sense of humour is a bit weird but when I read the title of your post, I thought you meant you couldn't stand UP to pee!
And that raised all sorts of questions - could you before? why would you want to? did they do a sex change as well?...... and so on. Please excuse me, I'm just having a funny day!

I Still Can't Stand To Pee !

drink lots of cranberry juice - it has natural healing properties and may reduce the stinging. After my first baby was born i had loads of stitches and used to tip water over myself as i pee-ed, this helped too.

The more you drink - the more dilute your urine - so the less stingy it will be too.

Hope this helps
