Endo/adhesions after hyst

Ok, haven't been here for a while. SAH 9/01, adhesion lysis 4/02, rectocele repair 4/03. Had a scope on Friday - cyst drained, some endo removed, some adhesions w/ovary adhered to colon is what DH thinks the doc said. Not sure myself, I was napping at the time.

I didn't have endo when I had the hyst, had one tiny questionable spot back in 2002. Not much anyone can do about cysts, they come and USUALLY go. Adhesions, well, unfortunately we all know about them so they will probably return. I feel fine today, went to work and feel better than I have in several months even though my procedure was only three days ago. I think that says alot for how crumby I was feeling prior. But I must admit I'm a little apprehensive about the prospect of endo. Not going to be extremely concerned since I won't speak to the dr myself until next week.

Any ideas on what questions I should be asking at the post op appt?

The good news is that my colon is much more cooperative, I'm sleeping thru the night without having to go empty my bladder 3 or more times, and I'm just sore now instead of having pain....

Endo/adhesions after hyst

Hi there It's nice to see you again, I only wish it wasn't because you're still dealing with so many issues

It does sound like this latest procedure was beneficial. I have no experience with either endo or adhesions, but I know that both of them have a tendency to return

I would think that, the next time you see your doctor, you would want to find out exactly what was done during this latest procedure. If endo was found, just how much of it. Furthermore, it may be time to ask about your prognosis and about the next step. I know that those are all things that come back, but there may be a way for you to control this

Do take care and try to remember that you need to pamper the Princess.... once again.
