resumed bedroom activities. Felt blocked.

I`m almost seven weeks post op, and yesterday got the go ahead from my G.P that DH and myself could resume bedroom activities, so last night was the night, we took it steady, but I felt as though there was something up there, stopping him from going in all the way, has anybody else had this feeling?

Have had a TAH, kept ovaries.

Karin

I'm no DR, but I think what you are describing is indeed normal. I had it too. I almost felt like I was too tense in there. SO said it felt like a bottle kneck. It is , I believe, muscles that go into lock down due to trama of surgery. They will relax!!

Continue to take it easy- But I was determined to get pass that, and I did after 3rd time. It's very nerve racking the first couple of times, We were so afraid of me splitting open- THAT NEVER HAPPENED!

Relax, Both of you!

Best to you!

Hi Karin

I had the same experience during at least the first few times. It's most likely due to being nervous, and there could still be some swelling in the upper vaginal area.

I agree with (((news)) in that it's important to take it slow and easy .... eventually things should begin to feel normal again.

Sending healing 's

No silly questions here at all! This is the greatest site because you can ask ANYTHING and someone is sure to have "been there, done that".

My DH and I had our first 'experience' the other night. at almost 8 weeks post. It went really well. He said everything felt a lot 'tighter' (I think I was nervous), but I didn't have any pain or anything. I think it will take a while before it gets back to the way it used to be - we were both pretty nervous about how it was going to work out.

But, it was so great knowing that there was no way I could get pregnant! Talk about birth control!
