Surgery tomorrow

Here I go again - surgery at 10am tomorrow. I posted a few weeks back.....having right ovary removed due to cysts, found out during pre-testing that my right ovary is located up by belly button, but severe pain is very low on that side (started 6months post-op, 4 yrs ago). Dr. called today to see if I am ready (what a guy!). I asked him about the tests and the placement of the ovary, and based on that, asked him if he had any better idea if he could do this all laser or would he have to cut. He said its a 50/50 chance to go either way. I am assuming if I am cut again, recovery will be a bit harder than the first time around. I was just wondering again if anyone has been through this or has any thoughts. I sure wish I knew what to expect, but I guess theres no way to know, just gotta keep fingers crossed. Any experiences anyone has had like this I would sure appreciate hearing from you

Surgery tomorrow

Leslie,
I had my remaining 1/2 of an ovary removed at the time of my hyst, but have had 5 additional surgeries since the hyst. For me, with each additional surgery it has taken me longer to recover. Take as long as you need, take it easy and rest and pamper yourself. I learned the hard way, that it is best to take things slowly and to listen to your body.

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery. It sounds like you have a great doctor. Do let us know how you're doing when you're up to it.
