most reliable way for me to poop with prolapses!!

Jonan....I've learned the hard way that, no matter how scary, it is of the utmost importance to run this past your doc. It may even be possible to prevent a major problem, if caught early.

A wise hystersister told me to gather all the hugs and muster the courage to be seen by the doc.

After all, you can make a more informed decision that way..........even to wait and see before needing any surgery.

most reliable way for me to poop with prolapses!!

I don't know. . . I've told four doctors about this constipation issue and not one has been really helpful. One doctor told me I had a small rectocele, but I probably have had since I gave birth 20 years ago, and it wasn't a problem. But both he and my surgeon said constipation in their "area of expertise" and I should see a gastroenterologist or my family doctor. The gastro was completely unhelpful, telling me to take Zelnorm, which made my stomach hurt really bad. The family doctor actually gave me the best advice, although I still had to work on my own what worked the best for me. So, I'm with Jonan. Find what works, and unless you have extreme pain or a blockage, or can feel something really out of place, do it yourself. As you can see, I've really lost faith in doctors.
