long time no see!

Well the neurologists office just called back and I guess they are taking these last two developments seriously because he wants to see me on Monday out at the hospital.......yipes! it usually takes forever to get in and see this fella, well at least he's staying on top of it!

today I"m off for an EEG to check for seizures and Thurs I'm in for an ultrasound of my neck to look at the arteries he said at the last appt that would tell him if I"d had a stroke in my eye???? And then that leaves the MRI of my spine (not booked yet) and the lumbar puncture (not booked yet).........

suddenly I'm even more scared now, silly I know, thanks for being there sisters!

Howdy Gidge!

My you sure have a big bushel of troubles. Nothing improved since I last been on the posts. Sorry, it has been a long time since I have peeked in. Here I am again... thee return!

Gidge, the pain sounds like one of the 2 things to me. I don't want to jump into any conclusion and it should be your doctor checking you out... 100%. To me sounds like a clot in the leg but the pain is radiating from your hip which indicates sciatia nerve like what I have. Every so often my leg would give out under me but I catch myself so that I don't fall.

Not only that, my next problem is that I'm falling alseep very easily. When I drive home from work after working, I feel myself faling asleep. I have about 50 minutes to drive home and its all highway driving. Not Good! Why... my poor body is just exhausted I guess.

I also find that when I sit in the car for that length of time and I get out of the car, I start limping. My poor joints just hurt! The same for going up and down the stairs after I have been sitting for a while.

Life is so miserable ain't it?

Should go and so good to see you here Gidge.

long time no see!

well I popped in to see my GP last night to see if he could help at all and he was very unhelpful, he said until we know why my eye hurts he can't prescribe anything stronger for it, doesn't know what the spasm in my leg or my eyebrows falling out is about and I should just wait until mon and ask the neurologist......

I asked what I should do if the leg thing happens again and he said take another muscle relaxer if you have some left but couldn't offer why it's happening......so then I got to thinking.....when I took it on Sat my eye stopped hurting as well....so I wondered if the pain in my eye was a spasm of some sort so when I got home and since it was throbbing like a son of a gun, I took 1/4 of a muscle relaxer and within 45min it had stopped........? I don't know what this means and I don't know what causes muscle spasms in the eye but you can be sure I"ll be bringing it up with the neuro on Mon

today I go for the ultrasound of the arteries of my neck this is supposed to look for any sign of stroke or bloodclot to my eye?

if anyone has gone through anything similiar I sure would like to hear from ya as I'm all alone on this one literally , my friends have stopped calling and now my GP is flaking out on me
