I took a bath is that ok?

My dr. never mentioned anything about taking baths. However, I have been up since 5:30 am, I had to cook food, go to a funeral, bring my daughter to physical therapy, in short, I have had such a full day today. I wore nylons and heels all day today and my stomach felt like it was ready to explode. I thought I would need a blow torch to cut the nylons off and cut my shoes off my feet. I have been wearing sneakers since I have been home for the last month. All I wanted was a nice warm bath and relax, so I did it. Now I am scared if I am not totally healed inside, I will get an infection. I have not a drop of blood since the castle. All I have had is a tiny bit of discharge, which from what I have read, seems to be normal. I will not be examined internally for another 2 weeks.

I took a bath is that ok?

The Gyn told me at 2 week post-op appt. that I could take a bath if I wanted to.No lifting, nothing in Vagina and no sex. I would think that you're safe.
If you're really concerned, call your Dr for advice. You HAVE to remember what is o.ked for me and others here may NOT be o.k.ed for you by your Dr. You need to ask your own Dr!!!

I took a bath is that ok?

My doctor told me no baths for 6 weeks. It really does depend on the doctor. I think it would be a good idea to give your doctor a call before taking another bath and make sure it's okay for you. I hope your doctor gives you the okay! Sometimes there's nothing more relaxing than a nice bath.

I took a bath is that ok?

My Dr encouraged bathes as well as heating pads. He suggested two or three a day. He explained it as the warmth makes the blood flow come to that area and helps speed healing.

I had my six week check up today and he told me to continue them often if I had time. Please ask your Dr. If you feel week make sure someone is home with you. I had a total abdominal so it was tricky at first, sure felt good though!!

Good luck to your speedy recovery!

I took a bath is that ok?

My TVH was on 3/23 and at my 2 week, my Doctor said it was okay for me to take a bath and to use Epsom salt. He said not to wash down there, do not use soap or bubbles or anything in the water other than the Epsom salt. Works for me. Baths are a great way to relax and unwind from a stressful day.
