7 weeks post op, and you wont believe......

Okay,
I have made it 7 weeks! I feel fabulous! It feels like so long ago that all of this happened....but I had to tell you all, I raced in a bike race last weekend, and actually came in 5th! I feel like a million bucks! I am active, busy, and things couldnt have gone better! Tomorrow I will race in another road race riding 40-60 miles. I will think of all of you! Wish me luck!

you go girl!

best of luck in your race! so glad you are feeling well! I felt sooooo much better at 7 weeks I couldn't believe it-I'm glad you do too! Guess what?I'm at 12 weeks and it's like it never happened, and the reality of no more monthly madness and no more birth control freakouts is finally settling in-be well, the best is yet to be!

I am happy too!

mtnbiker,
I haven't talked to you in a while, so happy for you! Keep going girl! I am going on 8 weeks post-op and I feel like a new woman!

Just got back from the Bahamas, it was just what I needed. No stress (no kids or DH) and lots of sun and beach. I swear in the 4 days I was there I healed more than in the last 4 weeks!

I find that more and more I actually forget about my surgery and all the painful recovery. But I am still careful to not over-do. So I hope that any Sisters who are in the midst of all the pain and frustration right now that they know it will NOT last forever.

Everyone heals at their own pace; rest when your body needs it and do not be too hard on yourself when setbacks (they will) occur.

Thanks and Kisses to all of you who have supported me throughout this crazy journey.

Wow! What words of encouragement!!!! I realize that everyone is different, but it's great to hear how well some of you are feeling just 8 weeks or so after surgery!! I'm almost at 4 weeks, but still not doing too much-- I tire easily, but at least the lower back aches are almost gone. Hope you all still continue to feel great!!! zanylynn

zanylynn,
I remember feeling the way you did at four weeks. I wondered when it would get all the way better. It seems like the magic date for me was 5 weeks. I dont know if the other sisters agree with me, or if that was just my thing. Hang in there, you will not believe the difference.

Thank you all for your encouragement! I promise to tell you all how it went when it is over.

I hope you are all healing in a smart and healthy way. Take care of yourselves, take your time, and you too will be ready to resume all activity you once did. Overdo, and it will just take that much longer to get there!
