Help!!!husband Doesn't Get It
The castle just called, I have to be there @ 6:00 not 7:30 so my mil would have to be there at 5:30 for my 6year old daughter. My husband thought maybe I could go with my fil (who is nice enough, but come on!) to the hospital and he would drop my dd @ school and then come. He would be there after 8:30 and my procedure is at 8:00!!!!!!!!!! I am so irritated... he said we have a daughter to think of you know. Duh!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me vent. He is just so MALE:burning: My procedure is tomorrow.
Another thing he said " you know what to expect" since I have had a c-section and myomectomy!!! Like because I have been through similiar experiences I should just be fine with this.

Help!!!husband Doesn't Get It
I have spoken to my mil and she is fine with coming over. She offered to have her spend the night, but I want to kiss her goodbye in the morning. I don't actually want to talk to her for fear of crying and making her scared.
I told him and he said "ok what ever you want" don't be mad at me , you sound stressed!

Help!!!husband Doesn't Get It
MEN! I swear! I just talked to my hubby and he asked how I was doing and I told ok, just a lot on my mind with the surgery in two weeks. He said, "well, it's a fairly normal surgery, you'll be ok" Thanks hon. that helps.

Help!!!husband Doesn't Get It
OMG!!! like we are all sisters, they are so brothers.
I was trying to think of a way to explain to him how I was feeling in male terms. It would be like you going in for heart surgery and me saying take a cab I have to take our daughter to school.
The fact that I have been through this in some ways makes it worse as I DO know what to expect, and now I am a mother and I am worried about my mortality, previously it was just him and I and I knew he would be fine without me.

Help!!!husband Doesn't Get It
Nope, husband doesn't get it because it's not him. If it was him...
My last surgery (lumpectomy 2003) and my last surgical procedures (lap and hysteroscopy) I didn't invite my husband (long story). I stayed at my mother's house both times as I will with the LAVH. I did recently tell him when and where the surgery would be if he wanted to be there. He mentioned he felt like a jacka** for not being there (we need a donkey icon... ). We'll see if he shows up.
I'm grateful my kids are a little older and can get themselves off to school on their own and feed themselves. My daughter (17 years old) will be staying with me for two days at mom's house since they'll be out of town.
Good Luck and take care of yourself.

It feels good to know I am not the only one. Off the subject I have a friend named Loreli, is that your name or just user name?

Lorelei is my username and a nickname my dad gave to me as an infant.
I've found around here, at least, there's very little in which we're alone . I'm very grateful for that fact.

Nope we are not alone here. I tried to explain it to my DH this way but do not think he got it either.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THEY SUCKED ALL OF YOUR TESTOSTERONE OUT IN A MATTER OF MINUTES!!
This was after a comment he made about me being moody but like I said I still do not think he got it.
Hang in there and hugs
