I think they can because they gave me thirty days of emergency leave. And I don't qualify for FMLA since I was not there longer than their policy - 12 months is req. Unfort my stinkin -falling-apart body picked now to droop!! So I am a rather new employee. Plus they are req my resignation, and then saying please call back and I will be considered in good standing since I did resign, and they will let me know what position is avail!.

ok next subject - someone here wrote that some sort of cracker or wafer for constipation is the best. Anyone know what the name of it is?

Hi ((((Kim)))) So sorry you've got even more worries to deal with

In the past, I've used Metamucil wafers: they're a whole tastier than the powder and very effective. I could even work it into my weight loss plan, as they do not have that many calories nor carbs. Metamucil also comes in pill form.

Hope this helps.

I am so sorry to hear about all of your troubles and about your husband losing his job and also that you will have to resign in order to get your job back (which i too think that is really nasty of your employers to do that especially since you are on leave) . I wish I could offer more advice except for my encouragement because I am not familiar with all of the ins and outs of the law...I can only hope you will be able to find another compassionate doctor in case you have to go with the Cobra plan...I am here for moral support at least...
