... otherwise I've just leapt up five pounds on the scale for no discernable reason.
(To gain that much weight, I would have had to pack in a surplus 17,500 calories over six days. That sounds like fun if I had actually done it but since I didn't, it seems a trifle unfair.)
However I've always had a sudden weight gain around *that* time of the month. At one point I was tracking it and I went up eight pounds almost overnight.
I kept one ovary and I've had no menopausal symptoms, so I'm assuming the ovary is functioning.
Has anyone experienced typical "period" symptoms without Aunt Flo post-hyster?
Keep well,
IslandScribe

YES!!!
I have noticed the same... and the chocolate cravings that time of the month are unreal.
Thought it was just me... but I guess I am not alone!! I seemed to cycle with my daughter, so when hers comes around, I go on a chocolate binge and still bloat a bit and gain.
I am thrilled I don't get grouchy too. (as is my family!!)

I notice I want my chocolate still the week before I'm too start. This week I have ate so many M&M"s with peanuts ... I hope thats all it is and I'm not going to be a candy lover the rest of my life... Or I will gain weight.
I really do think with keeping one ovarie it has that effect on us.
Oh and I might mention I love the Hershery bar with almonds too. GEESH it's only 7:45 am. I could eat one now.
