Anyone had this happen--colon/rectal prolapse

Hi Becky

I hope you find answers soon. I am so sorry you have to be going through this.
I had my TAH last May. My dr. never once mentioned the possibilities of prolapses or any other things after having the hyst. I haven't felt normal since my surgery.
I had terrible bm issues going on from day 1 home from my TAH. I just couldn't go. Finally at week 4 my dr. sent me for a abdominal cat scan, which showed a big impaction. I had strained alot just to have a bm.At 5 months post op I went back to my gyn and was diagnosed with a small rectocele. He sent me to a colon rectal dr. thinking I may had rectal problems. I had a defecogram in Dec. which showed a large non emptying rectocele and a enterocele. It did not show any rectal prolapse like you are talking about. The defecogram would have shown it though if I had one. I had my repairs Jan. 25 and am still dealing with abdominal pain when I push to go. I almost feel like I have a enterocele again.
I had no choice but to have the TAH as I was about to bleed to death from adenomyosis.I had no idea however that I would have to deal with prolapses and continuing abdominal pain. My gyn believes I had some bad adhesions causing me the ongoing pain.
I hope you get the correct diagnosis and get feeling better soon. Just know it can all be fixed.
