Does this sound like adhesions?

I haven't posted for a while. I have been keeping myself busy lately trying not to focus on my discomforts. I walk between 3 1/2-5 miles every evening now. I have lost 8 of the 10 pounds I gained since getting my gallbladder out in Sept. I can fit back into my smaller clothes once again.
I have the ongoing abdominal thumping and gurgling just like I have had since my hyst a year ago. It is so much worst after I drink I have noticed. I can take my walk, get a drink and my tummy seems to gurgle alot and thump around and bloat up. I quit taking the metamucil ( stayed on the stool softener and Miralax)thinking it might be causing the bloating, but that wasn't it. I have woken up several times a night lately with abdominal pain, and also in the bladder area. Sometimes when I roll over in bed I actually feel a ripping type of sensation in my lower left abdominal area. Is this what adhesions feel like?I wonder if adhesions could be pulling on my intestines causing the gurgling. sometimes I can actually hear the liquid gurgling all the way through my intestines. My Gyn seems to think I have adhesions as I had them on the left side when he opened me up. I just wanted to hear from my sisters if they have ever experienced this? I don't plan on doing anything about this at this time, but it does get quite annoying and is quite uncomfortable at times.
I try to not think about any of this much anymore, but sometimes it really does interfere with my life.I am trying to remain strong and brave, but sometimes it is quite challenging.
My lower abdominal area tends to hurt when I push to go to the bathroom. It pretty much feels the way I felt before I got my enterocele fixed in Jan. I hope I haven't caused another one. Can I get another enterocele, but not in the same exact location? My gyn used pelvicol to reinforce it, but is it possible it could be over to the side of the repair? I have also been feeling a sharp, pinching sensation in my left ovary area. Any ideas on what this could be?I had ovarian cysts before my TAH, but I never noticed any specific pain there, because the adeno caused my abdoman to hurt all over. I just don't understand why hysterectomies have to cause so many other problems. I am 1 year out now and energy wise am 100% better, but my body parts feel like they have been beaten up.I was hoping to be 100% better by now and it just isn't happening.

Does this sound like adhesions?

HI MT dewpeg, I am not a doctor here but I did have problems with adhesions and I did have some of the problems you have discribed.I had adhesions pulling on my intestines and I kept having a constant pain on my left side. I knew somthing was wrong when the pain started and started having bowel problems mostly constipatin. I kept telling my doc, family ,and freinds when they would ask about the pain that I felt like something was trying to pull out of me. well had a lap done in Dec and the doc found alot of adhesions and that some of them were attached to my intestines so that is were the pulling feeling was coming from.but only your doc can found out for sure if this is what your problem is. but your story does sound a little similar to mine. I hope you find out soon what is really wrong with you. good luck, Cathy
