Off to the hospital I go!

Well, here I sit. I'm all packed (including XL granny panties) except for last minute items. The bills are paid, sheets clean, freezer full, dog bathed and brushed, husband satisfied and ready for 6 week lull, I am tweezed, shaved to an inch of my life, manicured, pedicured, prayed for, prayed, and ready for the hospital in the very early morning.

An still I am very, very calm, peaceful and grateful for the peace.
My elderly and ornery father was moved to the skilled nursing facility yesterday for physical therapy after his knee replacement, so I think I will have some family members available to help my husband who will have to continue working. Except for the day of surgery, I will only see him at night. I'll miss him.

My poor little doggy will be at home alone until Daddy comes home from work. He's used to me being there with him and he doesn't do well at night when I'm not there. My husband will have his hands full.

Soooooo I guess I'm ready to go. Good luck to everyone who is packing tonight and going this week and to all the sisters who's wait continues. I'll let you know at the end of this week if waiting really is the worst part.

Just to say I am glad you are ready to go and at peace with the idea , I was too,, I would only make one suggestion and that would be to (maybe ) see if your husband could take your little doggie to a doggie motel (that is what I call them) that could watch him while you are in the hospital and he is at work..
there are places (in the "old days") that used to be called boarding kennels) and they will take care of him... Now. I understand that the places are much nicer... so just a thought..Happy thoughts, and

8pm Sunday night

and . . . 12 hours away from my castle visit. Will I even be able to sleep tonight?
My daughter is at a friend's house overnight - we have to be at hospital really early - DH is bustling about the house in an unusual burst of activity and I am doing everything I can think of for distraction. (I have found every MahJong site on the internet and I'm playing like crazy woman)

Looking forward BIGTIME to post-op board

Off to the hospital I go!

Good luck to you! I am happy to hear you are so calm! I am still calm and was wondering when I would start freaking. Maybe it won't come!
Hope to hear that you had a uneventful surgery and get to come home quick! Tiffany
