Pain is Unbearable - Please Help

Michelle,

I even questioned the dr. about his opinion of the Lupron not working and he was adamant about it. I knew from the outset that he would shuffle me off to someone else 'cause his last statement to me after the injection 6 weeks ago was to the effect of "if this doesn't to the trick you'll have to go back to urology because I will have tried everything..." I should hopefully know today the results of the CT scan although I know from past experience that kidney stones can do a great job of hiding so really I'm back at square one and it's very frustrating. Gyn dr. suggested I get a second opinion from Urology and gave me name of who to see.

The real problem here is the medical system is just wearing me down. And honesty, I can't take it. Between the constant pain, workand family I'm totally spent and having to deal with doctors inabilities to help me is not tops on my list so here I sit and suffer. It's a vicious cycle.

Thanks for being there. It helps to know I'm not alone.

Pain is Unbearable - Please Help

Cindy,

It's unbelievable, isn't it? And they tell us to go to a pain management class. Done it three times now and guess what, no pain relief. They have me on 7.5mg Vicoden or LorTabs as they refer to them as well as morphine - 25mg and I'm still in major pain. I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. What all have the dr's done for you, if anything? And what will you do next??

You're in my thoughts!

Good to hear that you're finally (with any luck) getting some help. A vaginal Cyst? Never heard of it. Did he actually see/feel it? What would the treatment be to remove it?

I also saw my primary today and he tells me that he thinks I have Shingles. Says a rash isn't necessary for Shingles to be present. I don't have a rash. He ran a full panel of blood work and urine and wants me to start on a low dose of Nortriptyline in the mean time. We'll see what the blood and urine turn up.

Hope you get your appt soon. I'd call and bug the dr.'s office until they give you one.

Take care

Carolyn
