Best Foods & Drinks?

Drink lots of water; stay away from soda and dairy products. I used Metamucil when I got home from the hospital. I stayed away from greasy and spicy foods. Hope this helps.

Best Foods & Drinks?

Hi, what worked for me were the lots of water already mentioned, fruit juices, jellos, yogurt, sherbets, mashed potatoes, puddings, soups - mostly soft easy to digest foods. No cucumbers, broccoli etc.

I didn't have many problems with gas at all ( after the first few days post op ). Ask your dr for what he/she recommends if you do have problems - they all seem to have their own perferences.

I found that walking as soon and as much as possible helped a lot too

Best wishes.

Best Foods & Drinks?

I ate lots of crackers and fruit. I stocked up on canned peaches and lived on them for almost 3 days. When I got sick of water, I found Crystal Light to be a nice change. The jello cups with fruit in them were really yummy too, just plan on plain foods for the first couple days you are home. Good luck!!
