thyroid tests done

Well I had a tsh blood test and they say it is normal the number was .71 and the normal range is .3-2.5. I also had a ultrasound done and said it was ok. They said nothing about the goiter and nodules I have so I am confused and still feel awful, especially tired. I do have an appt June 3oth to see another gyne. about the cyst on the right ovary.
I think my tsh is somewhat borderline on the lower range anyone ever had this same, but was told it was normal.

If it were me, I'd ask for a full thyroid panel. Your T3 and T4 and thyroid antibodies should be checked. I know several women whose thyroid level on whole was fine but the relationship of T3 to T4 was out of balance and they had thyroid antibodies.

One of these is my sister. She has a small goiter. A goiter is a sign of low thyroid hormone or thyroid hormone that is not being used properly by the body. My sister produces thyroid hormone but due to the antibodies, her body isn't using it correctly. So, my understanding is that if a doc just tests her TSH level, she would appear normal. But she's not. Her weight was really hard to manage. She was loosing hair. She was tired, etc Go figure.

Good luck to you!!!!
