scared of upcoming hyst.

Hi, I'm having a total hysterectomy on June 10, everything is going cevix and all, I also have to have bladder tuck.
I had my right ovary removed about 6yrs. ago due to a tumor, I have already had a bladder tuck done.
I'm extrememly terrified of the pain that is too much, and can't get my nerves under control, I'm 34 yrs and have had 3 children, 1 miscarriage, and my tubes tied, but I'm so scared of this I have no idea what to do.
HELP!

It's perfectly normal to be nervous and scared when facing an operation. Keep on this site, it does help. Go to the checkpoints section, it will give u some idea of what to expect. Some women experience more pain than others...think positive that you will be in the "not so bad" group!!!!
We are all tougher than we think. You will get through it. Just try to prepare everything for your recovery phase, and it will go smoother.

I know it is scary facing an operation.
Try to have faith that all will be well and you will come out of this much healthier and happier.
We are here for you. We've faced the same fears and made it through- so can you!
I am 6.5 weeks post op on a TAH and I am so glad I had it done-pain and all!
Many sisters here have excellent tips to help you through this.
Just take it easy and try to get through each day as it comes.
