I am having an odd problem.
In the last 2 months I have been having to take fiber supplements and laxatives just so I can have a bowel movement. If I don't.... My left hip hurts. When I do have a bowel movement my lower back and lower abdomen hurts like a deep ache. Also when I sit.... like now at the computer... between my ribs upper abdomen hurts.... Not a bad hurt it just feels like I need to reposition my insides.
My bowel movements can be any range from formed... to a pastey, muddy consistency. Sorry so graphic. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever experienced this before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have an appt with my doctor next week. Thanks ladies

I've had bowel problems for many years, ranging from both extremes, too much, too little or none at all. Even when I can't go much, the stools are very soft, which my doc says is a good thing as that means there's probably not a blockage. I currently go to an accupuncturist and we're working on trying to get my bowels to work somewhat consistantly and normally. I have had all the tests and most of them were inconclusive, so I'm still not sure exactly what causes my problems. I'm glad you made an appt with the doctor. It is best to have it checked out.
