fms, endo, any ideas?

Hi there

I'm hoping you can share your experiences with me. I had everything removed in May last year, had endo on both ovaries, adynomoyosis, and abnormal cells on my cervix. I was dx with fibromyalgia 1 year after my endo dx in 1999. Was on hrt for about 8 months then it started to dissagree with me, after trying different types am now hrt free.

The thing is, over the past few weeks I have a scarely familiar pain deep in my hip and 'the old' lower backache. I'm hoping it's a fibro flare but it doesn't feel the same. I had excision surgery for endo before my hyst and had the exact same pain in my other hip which dissapeared after the op, came back for a while then went after the hyst.

Do you think I'm jumping to conclusions or could the endo be making a return? How do I find out either way, is it a trip back to the dr? If it is, how do I convince them I need something done when 'a hyst 'cures' endo'!!!?

Thanks for taking time to read this,

Take care

Hi ((((Teri)))) I'm so sorry you're dealing with this pain

While I've never delt with Endo, I know that it really is a monster. Unfortunately, from everything I've read on this site, a hyst is not a cure for Endo. That's especially true when you keep your ovaries or are on HRT: the hormones tend to "regenerate" the endo.

You know your body best: if you think the endo is back, a visit to your gyn is most likely the best course of action. There is documentation out there, which could help you convince your doctor that the possibility of endo return needs to be investigated.

Here's a link to the Endo/Adeno Resources Library where you'll find links to websites specializing in this area. Hopefully, you'll find the information you're looking for.

endo can return . hwoever sometiems doing a scope is the only way to tell if it is .

In my case I kept my ovaries .. then some months later after numerous trips in and out of the er for nausea .. i opted for the bso .. my ovaries were blown up with endo .

Im now on HRT and Im hoping the endo does not return

its ruined my life !!! I hope that you find relief soon
