Incisional Hernia

I have been experiencing right lower abdominal pain with lower back pain for a couple of weeks now and I was referred to a gen surgeon on Friday night and he did a diagnostic lap, but could not find anything but an incisional hernia from my hysterectomy incision I had August 2004. Could this have been causing the pain in my abdomen and back? I have had shooting pains get me in the side today. What is going on??

Thanks

Incisional Hernia

I had an incisional hernia in my left groin and it caused alot of pain, but not back pain. Well I don't think so. Think my cysts were causing the back pain. But you never know I guess! How big is your hernia?
Hope you figure it out and can ease your pain soon. Take care, Tiffany

Incisional Hernia

He didn't tell me how big it was. He just said he put some mesh on it and closed it up? Whatever that means, huh? I am having shooting pains in the right side of my abdomen right now. Is that normal after a laparoscopy?

Thanks, Becky
