swelly belly, how long before it goes away?

I wish I could tell you. I am over 9 weeks now and seems like it is as bad as ever. I am being really active though. I am trying to take it easy tonight and hope I deflate overnight! At least it is not as bad as pre-surgery.

swelly belly, how long before it goes away?

I wish I knew. I was wondering the same thing. I am at 6 months and am wondering if it is still swollen or it's fat.

I'm still having some pain at the surgery site and had a cat scan a month or so ago and nothing was there, but my belly is big like I look like I am 9 months pregnant.

swelly belly, how long before it goes away?

I'm 10 weeks and can fit most of my clothes but a lot of my pants are uncomfortable after a few hours. The swelling gets worse with a lot of activity. Sorry, it will probably be a while.

swelly belly, how long before it goes away?

I'm six weeks post-op and have swelly belly (it's getting better each week). But I'm going to use it as my excuse not to wear nylons to work for at least the summer, if not longer (I should retire in about 22 years).

The papers I got

from the doctor said that my pants would feel tight for the first week and then would fit. What kind of comedian wrote that thing? I am about three weeks post op and my tummy looks like I am 6 month pregnant. I am a little on the chubby side anyway, but this is ridiculous! I wouldn't be surprised at this point if it never went away. I thought that taking out a uterous filled with fibroids, ovaries with cysts and tubes full of cysts would make my tummy flatter. HA!!! I hope that someone tells you when it goes away and/or how to make it go away. If this keeps up I will have to go back to work in maternity clothes.

Bunny -

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and still have that 'pregnant' look. I know I've seen a few ladies talk about the swelly belly lasting for many months, just gradually getting better over time. I'm sincerely hoping I'm not one of them! Mine can go anytime now.

I knew there was going to be swelling, but like you I thought when that enlarged uterus with all the fibroids came out the swelling would at least be no worse. Ha ha ha.

swelly belly, how long before it goes away?

I'm 8 weeks post op. If I am too active, my belly puffs right up! My job entails a lot of standing and moving around. When I get to work, my belly is fine. By the time I get off in the evening, it's swollen.
