Post op pain at 8 weeks post, first real recovery pain....what that all about?

Was 8 weeks yesterday, Dr gave me the go ahead to increase activities, and resume "normal life". So I have actually been living life more normally for the last 2 weeks, today I went to my son's fun day at school.(races and games outdoors) We were out in the feild from 9 am to 2 pm, walking and sitting up agains the fence. I also had my baby (8 months) with me. I carried him in the carrier for aobut 2.5 hours, and the rest of the time he was in the stroller being pushed. Tonight, for the first time since surgery I am so sore. I have this cramping feeling in my abdomen, worse than menstral cramps, but bareable. I suppose it was too long of a day for me, and taking the baby along was perhaps not such a great idea. So I have taken ibuprofen and using a warm pack, planning a low key day tomorrow.
Anyone else experience pain so late in their recovery process?

absolutely!

You had a long day and your body let you know it! From my own experience and many sisters you can expect torso alerts anytime you've done too much. Did you have a fresh case of swelly belly? I bet you did. When this happens, pull over, lie down, and rest.I'm 41/2 months, and haven't had this post op phenomenon since about 3 months. good luck and pace yourself!

I am another 8 weeker that has been having abdomen pain and bloating for last few weeks and fatigue. Doctor hasn't released me to go back to work yet and am scheduled for a CT scan in an hour. Doctor suggested it might be adhesions. Also she took bloodwork for 5 tests (autoimmune related) for my fatigue.

I am at 11 wks today...had a hard week at work the past five days, lots of rushing, bending, lifting, stress. All week I only managed to sit approx. six minuites each 9 hr shift---I hurt soooo bad yesterday, my day off. It hurt like I was in my first two wks of recovery. Scared me! But I believe it is the "overdoing it" pain; at least I hope so.
Proof once again that this is no small surgery & that complete healing is going to take a good long time!
---I just wish that others in the "real" world understood; I know that people think I am milking the had major surgery thing---how dare I expect a proper break at work!
