Your experiences

Hi
I'm know in my 5th week of recovery from a rectum repair and bladder sling. I'm going to be calling the doctor monday instead of waiting until next week for the post op. I'm still hurting and when I have a bowel movement it feels like it is strenching everything! Even the stitches of the sling. For no reason out of the blue I feel like throwing up. Mouth gets watering then it goes away.
What have any of you experience with the repairs and sling duing the recovery time? Do you feel any better?

Linda

Hi ((((Linda)))) I'm sorry you're having all these problems with your recovery, this time around

I think that you're wise to call your doctor: I had a Stage III rectocele repaired at the same time as my hyst. If I remember correctly (surgery was 4 1/2 years ago ) but the 5th week post-op the rectocele portion of my surgery was not giving me any problems, except for persisting discharge. My doctor explained that the discharge was due to a mix of granulation and the long-to-dissolve stitches he used for the repairs.

I do hope that your doctor has answers for you and that the problems can be easily solved. Please do keep us posted
