carpal and TAH?

Hi. I've read a few posts by women who've had both a hysterectomy AND a carpal tunnel release surgery at the same time. Is this usual? I've never heard of this before. Just curious.

Thanks,
trackgal

Carpal Tunnel

Hi,
I don't know how common it is but I do know there seems to be some link between carpal tunnel and Hysterectomy. I just knew as frightened of being an invalid as I am, if I did not get both surgeries I would not do it. I had Moderate-severe damage to my right hand. It really would not have been smart to wait. Plus I did not have anymore sick leave I could use.
