Home from Surgery
Well ladies, just wanted you all to know that I made it through yesterday's surgery. For those of you who have not been following my story, I have been having some right side lower pain for a while, after my TAH! Anyhow, he ended up removing some adhesions, mostly on my lower right side, where one big one was and also removed some fatty scar tissue.
I am feeling pretty bad this morning, just real real REAL sore from surgery. Hopefully this will be the end, but you never know as adhesions can come back.
I just wanted to tell those of you who are having lower pain, right or left side please continue seeing your doctor about this. Even if all your other tests do come up negative. There is a reason your in pain and you need to find that reason. Well I am off to lie down, pain meds kicking my butt!
Hugs,
Keri

Also thinking of you, hope this will take care of the problem, adhesions do hurt, unlike some Drs think,
did you have any adhesions on the cuff to the bowel? It seems likely that most people would if they have adhesions, being that the bowel sits directly on the cuff. Keep in touch.

Hi Keri
I am glad your surgery went well and you are now home. I hope those pain meds helped you.Hopefully this surgery will be your last.
I may be facing adhesion surgery in the near future. I am also having bowel and bladder problems and am undergoing tests.I am having a ultrasound of my ovaries this coming Fri. I will have a surery consultation Aug 3rd.How did your dr. know this pain was adhesion related and how was your surgery done?
I hope you are getting enough rest and feeling better.
Peggy

Peggy, I am sorry you are having to go through all of this. Remember diagnosing adhesions is a very long and difficult process. After going through various testing (ct scans, ultrasounds, blood, urine, bowel tests, colonoscopy, etc.) the surgeon couldn't diagnose me with adhesions, truely until he went inside me with a scope. We both "figured" that is what is was. Once he did the lap, that is when he found that I indeed did have adhesions. You have to remember that there is no test that will show adhesions. I had a laproscopic procedure to remove my adhesions and fatty scar tissue that he found. I plan on getting a copy of my surgery report on Wednesday when I go in for my check up. I will let you all know exactly what it says then.
Good luck in your journey and I wish you pain-free days!
Keri

LOL Dawn! I am busted huh? Well actually it is the drugs that are able to let me get up and post and I have just got out of the shower and shaved for the first time since surgery - which was a total joke! LOL!
Thanks for looking out for me Dawn, I am headed back to lie down.
LOVE YOU GALS!
Keri
