Hi all you sisters out there.

15 days till I go to the castle. Nerves are starting to get the better of me. I am starting to get sick to my stomach whenever I think about the surgery. This ever happen to anyone else?
Thanks to all of you who have posted. You have answered a lot of my questions and eased my anxiety. Have started shopping with your help. I have bought 3 sets of new jammies. I tell my DH that these are early birthday presants for myself since my birthday is 2 weeks after my surgery. Aunt Flo has come for what I hope is her last visit. She will soon be getting her "evicition" with no notice. LOL I am on day 8 of my cycle and so ready for this to be over with.
DH is trying his best to keep us busy and not thinking about things to come. He has finally gotten around to the re-model that we started almost 3 years ago. It is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!
DD is coping by not talking about it. Although she has asked her dear friend (he should be her boyfriend) to come and hand out with her on the day of my surgery. So I am sure they will make the best of things on that day.
Ok all, sorry about the rambling, just had to get some things out. I'm sure I'll be back to vent again.

Hugs to all
Debb

Hello to the three of you,

The waiting is such a hard part of this process, I hope it will speed up for you. It is so helpful and reassuring to have caring, loving family around you. I was so nervous ahead of time, but a calmness setted in the morning of surgery. I am 5 weeks out from a TAH/BSO tomorrow and this past week has been a remarkable time for me. My energy level has really increased. I have had my daughter here to help me while my husband is at work, so I have really been able to take it easy. I am very appreciative and fortunate. I have not had any problems at all. I would highly recommend practicing getting in and out of your bed, using your arms. I found that the hardest part. Putting a chair backwards next to the bed is very helpful, and a pickup tool is a great friend. I dropped everything the first two weeks.
Try to relax now and think positive, calm thoughts. There will be alot of people caring and thinking good thoughts for you.
