Generic Estradiol Patch vs Climara Patch

Hey all,
I wonder if anyone has had this experience or maybe it's all in my head, I went back on the Climara patch 3+ weeks ago. It was my last one so I got refills. They gave me generic estradiol patch. Since then I have been eating like there's no tomorrow. I have been on weight watchers since feb 05 and had done very well, then off hormones-maintained even lost a couple. Then on the Climara patch I maintained. Then the generic patch and I have been eating full bore. I mean it, my belly sticks out again like before and I feel lousy weight wise. I weigh tomorrow and I have a feeling I'll be really shocked at my gain. Yikes!!
Anyway, I might go back to Climara patch and see if that is the variable causing this.

Thanks for listening

Generic Estradiol Patch vs Climara Patch

Hi If the generic patch isn't sticking as well as the Climara patch, and therefore you aren't getting enough estrogen from the generic, your body could be responding to the lower estrogen level by trying to make its own estrogen through adding abdominal fat cells (yep, they can make and store estrogen ).

Thanks for reply Linda, actually the patch sticks better than the Climara did, it is just that I feel fatter than I did on the Climara patch or no hormone at all. I might just be adjusting still to the hormone patch, I don't know.

Generic Estradiol Patch vs Climara Patch

I just started on this patch, less than a week. I have been eating alot more than usual but I'm also thirsty. Is this normal? The first two days of this patch I felt nausea is this normal? Today I feel better but my belly seem to stick out a little more. Maybe I need to adjust to the meds.
