shaving with talc powder!!
I don't really know where to post this thread, because it is not a question, but a very good experience. I would like other people to benefit.
On advice of a nurse my husband shaved me in hospital the day before the operation with talc powder.
I could not believe it would work, but it worked wonderfully well. I hear complains about feeling like a strawberry after shaving. Nothing of that with talc powder. Soft, no irritation, perfect.
It sounds like I am hired by talc powder producers, but, no, that is not the case.
I looked it up in the dictionary: is it talcum powder? Or talc power?

shaving with talc powder!!
I have horrible skin and have been shaving with talcum powder for years. I also have to use an electric shaver, not a blade. Without talcum I break out in a rash, but have had no problems with it. It does leave you smooth.

shaving with talc powder!!
I've never heard of trying talcum powder, but I'm going to try it. I use hair conditioner. It moisturizes my skin as I shave.

shaving with talc powder!!
Weird! I am going to try it too. I am VERY allergic to Vitamin E, so this limits even my razor these days. I am fairly lucky in that I have very little hair on my legs and my pits never get to bad, so I don't shave in the winter at all. (It makes me feel so continental! LOL)

shaving with talc powder!!
hi,
Yes, do use it dry. Just powder it on and start shaving.
I felt the same: How can I ever shave dry???? I asked the nurse again: Dry? You just use talcum powder????
It works! Try it.
I haven't tried my bikini line, because I have hardly any hair yet, since I had my hysterectomy (LAVH) last thurday. But if it works for all the hair, it must work for the bikini line too.
Aimee, I don't know if baby powder is the same as talcum powder. Maybe somebody else can answer that question.
