Is that supposed to be there?????

Okay..I know I have been asking alot of questions..LOL...but i am the type that wants to know everything that is going on w/ my body
This question is embarrassing for me becuz I don't know if its normal or not
Okay...when I look in my vagina...there seems to be something there...its fleshy colored and kinda like its bulging..sometimes more than others...sometimes i have to push a little to really see it come out...other times its hanging out..not enough to feel it when I wipe or something...but its there...and when Im on my feet alot ..it feels as if there is something stuck inside me..almost like a tampon...
I called my dr just now..got the nurse...she said to go see the doctor in the morning...but I am really curious?? has anyone else noticed any thing like this...is that supposed to be there
I also noticed it before my surgery..I thought it was my uterus..rofl...needless to say I didn't really pay attention to Down there until i found out I was having a hysterectomy
Boy am i blushing now..I feel like the little naive girl....
LOL

Is that supposed to be there?????

Shelle,

I think that only a Dr. examining you can give you the straight answer on this. If you do go in tomorrow, please let us know what he says.

My very best to you...

Shelle,

When I posted on this thread, I hadn't yet seen your earlier thread concerning your job situation....please read my reply on that thread if you haven't already.

Get thee to a Doctor!

Shelle,

My mom described her prolapse in the same terms you are describing what's going on with you.
GO TO THE DOCTOR NOW--YOU NEED TO BE SEEN!
I don't know what is going on, but I had a TAH and am at five weeks and have not had anything happen to me like you are describing.

We all care about you--please go to the Doc.

Best,

Thank you

I called the doctors office tonite and talked to the nurse on call..she was hesitant to say anything but to call the dr in the morning and be seen...I am taking care of this...I already had one surgery for a prolapsed uterus..not looking forward to another one if this is a problem ...but hoping it can be fixed easily or will go away (I wish I wish)....
I am so happy to have found all of you...who else would answer my questions at 1 in the morning!!????

Love to all of you

Shelle - hoping you've seen a doctor by now, but my question now (if you have) - Is /was it some "packing" or something like that? I sure hope so and that nothing is wrong. Let us know - we're worried about you.

Is that supposed to be there?????

I talked to a nurse at my doctors office...today is his day off...so I am gonna try and get scheduled in for tomorrow...the nurse said it sounded as if my bladder is falling or vagina...OH JOY...geesh..I feel like Im back in square one...
I have a question: Does this require surgery..is that the ONLY way to fix this???

I am not going back to work..I have been doing TOO MUCH and now I'm paying for it
Also begging dh to use some of his vacation time and come home today..he doesn't want too...maybe he'll surprise me and actually consider me first...we'll see
Thanks for all the support and answers..Ill let everyone know what I find out tomorrow!!!

Is that supposed to be there?????

Dear Shelle,

My doc was a uro-gynecologist specializing in pelvic reconstruction. I sought him out for consultation regarding prolapsed uterus. He stressed to me that once you have shown a tendency to have prolapsed organs, it can happen again, and he did not recommend resuspension of my uterus.

Factors that can figure into the prolapse equation are: post-40 years old, post-vaginal childbirth, hereditary, and extra weight. Once you have prolapsed, it really won't fix itself. Kegel exercises are good for all women to do, and can be helpful as a pro-active (before you fall apart) measure.

I opted for a TVH & did not need any extra repairs (whew!).

What you are describing does sound like something out of place, BUT you are still early in your healing, and it may just be normal swelling. PLEASE PLEASE do not be vaccuming & mopping. This is your one chance to heal right, and you're WORTH it, Shelle.

I hope your doc gives you a good report. Please keep us posted.

Sending cyberhugs,
