Cystocele and Rectocele Repair 9 weeks after TVH

I am having cystocele and rectocele repair next Wednesday, nine weeks after my TVH. I am wondering from others who have had this done:
1. Does it hurt to urinate after the surgery?
2. Does it hurt to defecate after the surgery?
3. Will this affect intercourse after appropriate healing time?
4. Will it affect the size or shape of the vagina?
5. Will it be more or less painful as the TVH?

Any answers to these questions will ease my mind a ton. THANKS

Cystocele and Rectocele Repair 9 weeks after TVH

i had them done with my tah and it was noting compared to the pain in my stomach it took me a long time almost a week and a half to have a bm and that was the worst. going potty was ok just have to go by the clock not by how you feel. i am 4 plus weeks out and no sex for at least six weeks so can't help you on that question. your bm's will be diffrent and you probably will be advised to stay on softners for quit some time. good luck to you!

Cystocele and Rectocele Repair 9 weeks after TVH

hello , i had a tvh w/rectocele & enterocele repair. I thinks it matters on how the repair is done. I had the porcine graft mesh repair w/ligament suspension. It is painful- I've had to take percocet for the pain which in turn makes bm's alot harder to "have". You also cannot sit up for any length of time. As far as the cystocele i'm not sure about. I am a week and one day out from surgery and it gets better day by day. I'm not sure about questions 3 &4 as i have not gotten that far yet, but i do think they tighten you up. good luck.

Cystocele and Rectocele Repair 9 weeks after TVH

Hello I am 6 weeks post opt with a tvh with posterior repairs. My first bm i thought i was going to faint. But alot of it was in my head because of all the stitches.I am alot tighter in that area, which my doc said someday i will thank him for.Make sure you take your !!sitz baths and the squirty bottle is a god scent.i still use it!! Tucks pads will come in handy!!Just make sure you take stool softners!!! I cant explain how important that is!!!Because it does put alot of pressure on your stitches!! You can private message anytime with more questions !If i can help i will!!!
