Anyone with aching legs and feet?

Hi,
I am 3 weeks post TVH today and my legs and feet have been aching so bad that I can't sleep or get comfortable. I kept my ovaries and am not taking Premarin so I don't know if I am doing to much or if this is normal ?? I am also curious to see if anyone is feeling this way.

Anyone with aching legs and feet?

Hi trunner0,
I am 7 weeks post-op just like you. A few days after surgery I started to have leg and foot pain. The pain ist mostly in my calves, across the top of my feet, and the arches hurt terribly sometimes. It could be caused by an impinchment of your left and right sciatic nerves. If you consider the uncomfortable position you're in during surgery, it may come as no surprise. I have good and bad days. I started walking about 1 1/2 weeks ago, approximately 45 minutes a day. My calves let me know when I am done. It's like having a continued spasm. Fortunately, it doesn't keep me awake during the night. I was thinking about getting some physical therapy, but for now I am waiting for all the bills to come in and see if I can "afford" it.
I must say, the pain is better than it was in the beginning, hopefully yours will get better each day as well.

Anyone with aching legs and feet?

For about a week after surgery, my feet left heavy, and odd. Everytime the Dr. came to see me in the castle, and at the office visits post-op- he asked me about any leg or foot pain. But I really haven't had any.
Did you have those leg thingies in surgery? I can't remember what they are called! Mine went from ankle to about 5" above the knee. Periodically- like every 2 minutes!! they inflated and then deflated to encourage blood flow. I had them put on in pre-op, and only were removed when I was walking around in the castle on day 2. I guess they did their job-
Hope you get an answer to your discomfort. I hate to trade one ill for another!
